Awards from the Iowa School Public Relations Association

The Marshalltown Community School District (MCSD) received multiple communication honors from the Iowa School Public Relations Association (ISPRA) during the organization’s annual spring conference.

ISPRA, the Iowa chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), hosted its spring conference April 9–10, 2026. The organization brings together school public relations professionals, superintendents, and education leaders committed to strengthening public understanding and support for Iowa schools.

As part of the conference, ISPRA recognized outstanding communication work submitted for evaluation by school communication professionals from across the country. MCSD submitted entries in most of the 10 award categories. In total, 126 entries were received from 22 Iowa school districts and education organizations.

MCSD earned two Blue & Gold Awards, the highest distinction in the state, along with four Awards of Excellence, which recognize exceptional communication efforts and campaigns. The awarded projects include:
