I joined MCSD to serve as the Special Education Instructional Coach to provide support and resources to special education teachers.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of the Bobcat community?
I love being part of the Bobcat community! The teachers that I work with are amazing. They are open and willing to try new things, and are always collaborating on ways to improve.

What surprises me the most is how rewarding it is to work with adults. After being in the classroom for 19 years, I now work mostly with adults. They are positive, supportive, and encouraging and I enjoy it very much!
In your opinion, what makes Marshalltown Community School District special?
I was so excited about the All Means All Conference that came to Marshalltown. I think it's pretty special that Marshalltown is willing to have the whole district attend and hear the same message: all means all!
What does it mean to you to be a Bobcat?
Being a Bobcat means embracing the "all means all" concept, which signifies a dedication to ensuring every student- regardless of background or need-receives the support they deserve. It also means being a hardworking staff member who is passionate about education and committed to finding what is best for students.
